James Barker

Jim Barker believes there are two important benefits he can provide his clients: education about real estate, and customer service tailored to each individual.

Prior to becoming a Realtor, Jim was a classroom teacher, a counselor, a principal, and a school district administrator. As he says, “Education was not just a job for me – I was called to be a teacher. Now I am equally as excited about my real estate career.” Jim’s real estate experience includes waterfront, canal front, and vacation homes in Galveston and the Bay Area.

Jim Barker is a native Houstonian who has lived his entire life in the Greater Houston area. He holds a BA from The University of Texas at Austin and an MS from the University of Houston at Clear Lake. Jim is a member of Palmer Memorial Episcopal Church, where he serves as a Eucharistic Visitor. In addition to his church activities, he enjoys travel, architecture, Houston’s history and photography.
