Don't forget to file your Homestead Exemption

If you purchased a home in 2017- Congratulations! It is now time to file for your Homestead Exemption. You must be occupying the property as your primary residence on January 1st of this tax year, and have no other residence that you are currently claiming as your Homestead. The exemption is free to obtain and can save you up to 20% on your property taxes. To apply, fill in the application and file it with the district county where the property is located.  Click on the link below to find your Homestead Exemption Form for your County. For additional information, call your county appraisal district. The deadline for filing your Texas Homestead Exemption is April 30th.
