Harvey the Horrible

Harvey the horrible has come and gone.  We are praying that Irma stays far away.  I have never been so proud to be from the Houston area!  The outpouring of help and generosity between complete strangers has been amazing.  Yes, it has been said over and over again - but I just had to say it for myself.  Texas Proud!

Clean up has begun.  Be thorough when hiring contractors to do work on damage to your home.  Make sure they are reputable and licensed.  Ask for references.  If the references seem suspicious, dig a little deeper.  There will be a lot of scam artists out there waiting to prey on the vulnerable.  If they are from out of town, ask for a website.  Google them.  Look for reviews online.  References, references, references!  Let's continue to watch out for our neighbors as well!
