Houston's Facinating Market

This business never ceases to amaze me. I put two new listings on the market Thursday afternoon. One is better than new, loaded with upgrades and a pool, priced less than what the seller paid for it or what it would cost to reproduce. It had no showings and very little internet activity. The other one was a smaller property built in the 70’s with less desirable schools and no cosmetic updates. It needs paint and carpet.  I’m hoping the fact we received 20 contracts over the weekend will help getting it appraised (sold for $5K over list). We had to use a spread sheet to compare offers LOL! When HAR reports that sales are down on properties under $150K it’s because there aren’t any to be purchased.
