Carpet Rippling and Buckling

CARPET RIPPLING & BUCKLING.....
One of the main reasons that buckles or ripples appear in carpet is due to poor installation. Other reasons include dragging furniture across the room on regular basis as well as humidity in the air or improper steam cleaning, damaged or missing tacks-trips, and normal decomposing of the latex in the backing materials with age.

If the carpet has been stretched and the ripples come back, it could mean that the carpet was never stretched in properly to begin with. Unfortunately, a common shortcut used by many technicians is to use the knee-kicker. This tool grabs the edge of the carpet and the technician uses his knee. This fails to achieve the necessary stretch.

To ensure that the carpet is properly stretch, the technicians or installers must use a tool called The Power Stretcher. This Power Stretching Method is the industry-approved method. When looking for a group of professionals to handle the job, it’s best to look for those that are certified. This is the only way to ensure that the work will be done correctly and with the utmost care
