Thinking of Buying and Selling

Thinking of buying a new home and selling your existing home? This is the problem that many of my customers face. Let's face it, no one wants to put their home on the market if they aren't able to buy the home that they desire.  While this seems like a daunting task, having the right real estate agent can make all the difference.  My advice to everyone is know some important things going into the process.  1.  When selling your home, the commission for the sale (which as of right now is generally paid by the seller) is negotiable and there is no set rate of commission.  If someone tells you that there is a set rate, then they are no being truthful because that is called price fixing, and it is illegal.  2.  You can put your home on the market and an offer on the home that you desire without being in a bind to have to purchase the new home without selling yours first.  The agent just needs to make the purchase of the new home contingent on you selling your current home.  3.  When choosing a real estate agent to assist you in the whole process of buying and selling, make sure that you interview at least 3 realtors and make sure that they are all from different brokerages.  Do google searches and look up their HAR pages and make sure that they are using the client experience rating.  The closer they rate to 5 the better that they are at their job.  Also, if they do not communicate with you very well, then chances are that they do not communicate with potential buyers or listing agents either.

Happy house hunting, and if you have any questions for me, I am an open book so please ask away.  Also, I would love to assist you with any and all of your real estate needs.
