June 30-July 5: Get the kids to The Backyard Grill for summer fun

The Backyard Grill will have fun events on tap for children this summer, including a crafts-themed Father's Day event June 14, face painting June 28, and kids bingo June 21 and July 5.

June 30-July 7: Take part in parents night out at iCode School

The iCode School hosts a kids game night while giving their parents a break. The kids can play games, such as Minecraft, Roblox and Fortnite.

June 30: Sing karaoke

Attendees will sing along to their favorite tunes at this after-work karaoke event. Customers can enjoy seafood and Mexican platters while they perform.

July 1-4: Watch fireworks

In celebration of July Fourth, Hurricane Harbor Splashtown will host a “Slides, Rides and the 4th of July” event, during which guests can enjoy music, specialty food items and fireworks. Children age 2 and younger will receive free admission.

July 1: Celebrate Independence Day

The city of Conroe is hosting an Independence Day celebration where there will be food trucks, vendors, kids activities and fireworks.

July 1: Go to a freedom festival

The Montgomery Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting a freedom festival to celebrate the Fourth of July, where attendees will get to participate in a parade. Participants can use Jeeps, cars, horses or wagons. No long trailers are allowed. Three awards will be given for best overall, best theme and best spirit. There will also be a kids zone and vendors. Preregistration is required for parade participants.

July 1: Celebrate the Fourth of July

Little Woodrow’s Tomball is hosting a Red, White and Brew Bash, at which attendees will be able to enjoy live music and drink specials. Patriotic attire is encouraged.

July 1: Listen to music

Lone Pint Brewery will welcome The Fab 5 playing Beatles songs and music from the ’50s and ’60s.

July 1: Participate in goat yoga

Attendees will be able to do yoga among baby goats during two goat yoga classes this weekend.

July 2: Celebrate independence with diversity

At the Liberty Fest, hosted by the Southwest Management District, there will be international food, live music and cultural performances along with 60 booths. Activities for kids include an obstacle course, a rock climbing wall and face paint. The celebration will end with a fireworks show.

July 2: Dine on barbecue

At Paradigm Brewing Co.’s Brews & BBQ Independence Day Party, attendees will have the chance to enjoy barbecue, listen to live music and browse vendors. Local first responders will also be there for kids to meet and look at their vehicles, such as a fire truck, ambulance and police car.

July 2: Watch a famous drag show

Contestants from “RuPaul’s Drag Race” will bring the Werq the World Tour 2023 to Sugar Land, featuring performances and lip-sync battles from popular contestants from previous seasons as well as the latest season’s winner. Attendees must be 18 years old or older to attend.

July 2: Listen to a concert at Margaritaville

Singer Abby Anderson will be performing at Margaritaville as part of a summer night concert series at the resort. According to Total PR, Anderson is a country singer known for her pop melodies. Drinks will be available for purchase.

July 2-4: Party in the pool

The Laura Hotel will host Stars, Stripes & Poolside Vibes, two three-hour pool parties on two separate days. There will be a live DJ, cocktails and poolside barbecue.
